Windows 7 – Delete Hibernation File (hiberfil.sys) Have you considered that it may be a problem with the actual Hiberfil.sys file itself? RE: How to stop having to enter password twice?
I asked for help in Microsoft forums but after a month no help: cial.techn et.microso ft.com/For ums/en-US/ w7itprosec urity/thre ad/2363776 0-9b86-456 0-8c69-ddb a02214aec/ The problem affects all user ccounts: including those with no password (you have to click account icon twice)Ĥ. As long as the pc has not been asleep for four hours prior to login, I only have to enter the password once.ģ. After sleeping for at least 4 hours, the PC always requires two attempts to log in. I did not have this problem with Vista.Ģ. The second time I enter my password, I am logged into my account.ġ. When I try to log into my account after waking up the pc by touching the keyboard, I have to enter my password twice: The first time, it shows the spinning dial and then screen ges black, as if it's going to log me in, but then it puts up the login screen again.
I have Widows 7 Home Premium - upgraded from Vista Home Premium.
